After 26 years as a police officer - six as a motorcycle sergeant, I recently retired. I have been riding motorcycles for 35 years and I thought I was a great rider until I attended police motorcycle school. The training was one of the most mentally and physically challenging things I have been through. As a lifelong rider, the specialized instruction and time-tested techniques have been lifesaving. I learned nuanced ways of riding that gave me better control, and by putting training patterns into practice, I became a much safer rider. Based on my experience and love of teaching, I became a certified police motorcycle instructor while assigned to the unit. I look forward to sharing these skills with you and experiences from our mutual passion for riding.
I am a retired Police Officer. During my 20 year career I had the distinct opportunity to instruct officers in various disciplines to include the operation of police motorcycles. I developed a passion for teaching the skill set needed to complete the rigorous closed course police motor school. After successful completion of the school I taught officers how to transfer their newly learned skills to enforcement riding. These particular skills have been proven time and again to be life saving in real world applications. The confidence gained after mastering these skills is invaluable. They provide a working knowledge of motorcycle operation that immediately transfers to the riders experience. I am excited to share this knowledge and increase your riding abilities.
